Brandt rusk - classic or with chocolate

Brandt Zwieback has accompanied generations through their childhood. Traditional baking methods are still used today when baking and roasting. But there have long been chocolate variants of the classic, for example as minis - now even vegan - and pastries such as the delicious Hobbits wholemeal oat biscuits - for a little snack in between. The traditional company, founded in Hagen in 1912, now produces in Thuringia.

Every child in Germany knows Brandt rusk

In 1912, the 26-year-old master baker and confectioner Carl Brandt founded the Märkische Zwieback- und Cookie Factory C. & F. Brandt GmbH in Hagen together with his younger brother Fritz. In 1929, rusk production was mechanized with a self-developed rusk cutting machine. 25 years after it was founded, the company already had 700 employees. Today it is still a family business. While the production of the rusks moved to Thuringia, the administration is now based in Hagen again.
